Name:
Carcharodontosaurus saharicus
Age: Cretaceous
Formation: Tegana Formation
Location: Taouz, Morocco
Size: Tooth is about 0.85 inches along curve
This is a very nice tooth from a carniverous dinosaur. It is a robust Carcharodontosaurus saharicus tooth from the Cretaceous Deposits of Morocco. The serrations on the cutting edges of the tooth are clearly defined, and the very tip of the tooth shows a tiny amount of natural wear from use. The dark, chocolate-brown, corrugated enamel is well displayed on both sides of the tooth. This is a very distinct tooth from this meat-eating dinosaur.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
