Name:
Mosasaurus anceps Tooth
Age: Cretaceous
Formation: Phosphate Beds
Location: Khouribga Basin, Morocco
Size: Tooth is almost 3 inches along curve!
Here is an excellent specimen of a Mosasaurus anceps tooth. This HUGE specimen is from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This extremely large marine reptile tooth (almost three inches long!) is quite robust and exhibits very fine detail. The corrugated enamel of the tooth is just wonderful. The tip of the tooth displays almost no wear from use, which is quite interesting. The fossil has beautiful, natural color and contrast and is wonderfully showcased on the large block of matrix - natural, not composited! Also, the back side of the tooth displays very well. This is one of the largest, better quality Mosasaur teeth we have ever had.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
