Name:
Mosasaurus anceps Teeth
Age: Cretaceous
Formation: Phosphate Beds
Location: Khouribga Basin, Morocco
Size: Larger tooth is 1.6 inches long
Here is an excellent pair of teeth from a large, aquatic reptile. These are Mosasaurus anceps teeth from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This specimen was once part of a major fossil collection. These extinct dinosaur-like lizard teeth are very robust and exhibit fine detail - the corrugated enamel of the teeth is beautifully preserved, and the LONG root of the larger tooth is still intact, which is extremely unusual. The fossils have wonderful color and contrast and are well showcased on the large, natural plate of matrix. And, best of all, these teeth have not been ''placed'' on the rock - they are totally natural, embedded in the rock. This is a very collectible and displayable example of teeth from a Mosasaur, the "aquatic dinosaur".
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
