This is a top quality dinosaur tooth. It is a huge tooth from Camarasaurus grandis, a large, herbiverous dinosaur from the Jurassic of Wyoming. This type of dinosaur is a sauropod, one of the ''long-necked dinosaus''. This tooth was recently acquired from the famous Valverde Collection. The tooth is huge, the crown being a full two inches long! It has beautiful natural black color and exhibits extremely fine detail. The enamel is beautifully preserved - even the tiny striations and corrugations are very easily seen! The tip of the tooth displays a wonderful wear facet. This is a fabulous museum quality tooth from this little-known Jurassic dinosaur.
