Name:
Keichousaurus hui
Age: Triassic
Formation: Huixia Beds
Location: Guanglin, Guizhou Province, China
Size: Keichousaur is 12 inches long
Here is an outstanding fossil reptile. This is an extremely large Keichousaurus hui from the Triassic of China. This dinosaur-like reptile is wonderfully preserved and exhibits great detail. The head, long neck, body, limbs, and lengthy tail are all present. Many of the small teeth can be seen in the skull and the tiny digits of the feet are clearly defined. Even the very tiny tip of the tail is intact. The dark black bones of the Keich are very robust and have been meticulouly prepared so that the beast is positioned above the plane of the matrix. The ebony-colored fossil contrasts beautifully with the lighter-colored matrix. It is very well centered on the large rectangular plate. This is an extremely displayable specimen of this dinosaur-like reptile.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
