EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - Rhamphorhynchus Tooth
Stock Number  DSTVV907
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:    Rhamphorhynchus Tooth
Age:  Jurassic
Formation:  Malm Zeta (Solnhofen)
Location:  Solnhofen , Germany
Size:  Tooth is 11 mm long

This is a rare flying reptile tooth. It is a arge and complete Rhamphorhynchus tooth from Solnhofen, Germany.  This tooth is one of the largest, if not the largest, tooth in the upper and lower jaw. The tooth's position is from the front of the mouth where the longer teeth were used to grasp and hold prey. Rear teeth are shorter and more rounded. The tooth is pristine and long and slender - almost needle-like in shape. The enamel is near-perfect and a glassy caramel brown.  This is a top quality example of a very rare Rhamphorhynchus tooth from the famous Solnhofen Limestone.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
