Maiasaura peeblesorum Claw
Age: Cretaceous
Formation: Judith River Formation
Location: Central Montana
Size: Claw is 3.65 inches across
Here is a fabulous dinosaur fossil. This is a beautifully preserved Maiasaura peeblesorum Claw from the Cretaceous of Montana. Maiasaura peeblesorum is one of the classic hadrosaurs, or duckbilled dinosaurs, famous for ''mothering'' their nests of eggs. This claw has near-perfect form, and the structure of the 3-dimensional bone is wonderfully displayed. The fossil was extracted totally free of matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. And, best of all, this claw has absolutely NO DAMAGE, REPAIR, OR RESTORATION whatsoever. This is a top quality example of a complete hoof from this classic Cretaceous dinosaur.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
