Name:
Saltasaurus robustus Tooth
Age: Cretaceous
Formation: Allen Formation
Location: Rio Negro, Argentina
Size: Tooth is almost 1 inch long
This is a very fine tooth from the dinosaur, Saltasaurus robustus, from the Cretaceous of Argentina. Dinosaur remains from Argentina are very difficult to obtain - this specimen was acquired from an old collection. Saltasaurus is a relatively small, armor-plated titanosaurid. This is an extremely nice tooth with a fabulous chisel-pointed tip. The enamel is colorful and in very good condition. Part of the root of the tooth is also intact. This is a top quality specimen of a difficult-to-obtain dinosaur tooth.
Note: Argentina has now banned the export of all fossils. We will strictly abide by and enforce this law - we will not acquire new fossils from Argentina. However, this fossil was collected and exported prior to this law, and can be sold legally.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
