EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:    Carcharodontosaurus saharicus Tooth
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Tegana Formation
Location:  Taouz, Morocco
Size:  Tooth is 2.35 inches along curve

Here is a rare tooth from the meat-eating dinosaur, Carcharodontosaurus saharicus. This beautiful specimen was found still embedded in rock, then expertly excavated to expose this fabulous tooth. Carcharodontosaurus teeth still encased in rock are as rare as one in hundreds - almost all are found free of matrix. This beautiful tooth has extremely sharp serrations and an excellent tip. The blond-colored enamel of this tooth is beautifully preserved and quite striking. This is simply a beautiful carniverous dinosaur tooth that just happens to still be encased in its natural block of matrix.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
