Here is a fine specimen of a tooth from Triceratops horridus, the classic ceratopsian, or ''horned dinosaur''. The 3-dimensional tooth is free of matrix and has nice, natural brown coloration. A substantial portion of the root is still intact. The chisel-edged top of the tooth is beautifully displayed, and the corrugations of the enamel are quite distinct. This is a nice tooth from the famous three-horned dinosaur.
