Mosasaur Tooth with Large Root Intact
Stock Number  DSTMS01
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:    Mosasaurus anceps Tooth
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Mosasaur Beds
Location:  Morocco
Size:  Tooth is 2.4 inches long

Here is an excellent tooth from a large, aquatic reptile. This is a Mosasaurus anceps tooth from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This extinct lizard tooth is very robust and exhibits fine detail. The corrugated enamel of the tooth is beautifully preserved, and the very tip of the tooth is near perfect. A majority of the root of the tooth is still intact, which is extremely unusual. The fossil has wonderful color and contrast and is well centered on the large oval plate of matrix. And, best of all, this tooth has not been ''placed'' on the rock - it is totally natural to the matrix. This is a very displayable example of a tooth from this ferocious marine reptile.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
