Here is an excellent specimen of a tooth from Triceratops horridus, the classic ceratopsian, or ''horned dinosaur''. The 3-dimensional tooth is free of matrix and has nice, natural dark brown coloration. A small portion of the root is still intact. The chisel-edged top of the tooth is beautifully displayed, and the corrugations of the enamel are very distinct. The tooth is nicely showcased in its own glass-covered display case (not pictured). This is a great Triceratops tooth from the famous Hell Creek Formation.
