Very Detailed Hyphalosaurus from China

Formation:  Jiulongsong Member, Chaomidianzi Formation (Jehol Group)
Location:  Sihetun, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province, China

This is an unusual find from the area in China that produced the feathered dinosaurs. It is a very nice Hyphalosaurus from Liaoning Province, China. This dinosaur-like reptile is similar to both a Keichousaur and a Mesosaur. This type has a semi-ovate head, whereas a Keichousaur has a more triangular head, and a Mesosaur has a very elongated head. This specimen has all four limbs present - they even have the digits and claws intact, which is rare for this type. The neck, body, and tail are all very well articulated - the animal has extremely fine detail preserved. The reptile displays beautifully on the 3'' X 6'' rectangular matrix plate. The fossil comes in its own custom-made silk-covered and velvet-lined display case. This is a very displayable dinosaur-like fossil from the same area where the feathered dinosaurs were discovered.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
