Very Inflated Dinosaur Egg From China

Name:    Dendroolithus sp. (Hadrosaur Egg)
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Kaoguo Formation
Location:  Xixia Basin, Henan Province, China
Size:  Egg is 5.6 inches across

This is a very nice dinosaur egg. It is a Dendroolithus (Hadrosaur) egg, from the Cretaceous of China. This egg is very inflated and retains its original "egg" shape well. Most of the extremely thick eggshell is still intact and easily seen. This egg has been meticulously prepared with an air-abrasive machine to reveal the fine detail of the eggshell. The egg has excellent color and rests on a small pillar of matrix. This egg would display very nicely in someone's home or office - what a conversation piece! This is a fine fossilized dinosaur egg with much of its original eggshell preserved.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
