Name:
Daspletosaurus torosus Tooth
Age: Cretaceous
Formation: Judith River Formation
Location: Montana
Size: Tooth is 1.3 inches long
This is an extremely rare dinosaur tooth. It is a Daspletosaurus torosus tooth from the Judith River Formation of Montana. Daspletosaurus was a highly uncommon Tyrannosaurid dinosaur. This tooth is a very hard-to-find pre-maxillary tooth, or front ''nipper'' tooth. Both sets of serrations are in great shape and are on one side of the tooth. A portion of the root is intact, and the multi-colored enamel is quite striking. The tooth has a few minor cracks, but there is NO RESTORATION to this beautiful tooth. This is a highly collectible tooth from this unusual carniverous dinosaur.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
