This is a very nice dinosaur egg. This is Dendroolithus sp., a hadrosaur egg, from the Cretaceous of China. Hadrosaurs are well known for their nurturing instincts. This large, very 3-dimensional egg has excellent form. The "classic" egg shape is well displayed. The top of the egg retains approximately 90% of the original eggshell. The egg is resting on a small pillar of matrix. This is a very displayable hadrosaur egg from the Cretaceous.
