Formation: Kaoguo
Location: Xixia Basin, Henan Province, China
Size: Egg is 5.8 inches across.
Here is a very affordable hadrosaur egg from China. This is Dendroolithus sp. from the Cretaceous. The specimen has been cleaned with an air-abrasive machine. The egg is inflated and retains its shape very well. There is still a lot of eggshell intact, mostly around the outer margin of the egg. The egg displays nicely on the natural pedestal of matrix. This is a lot of egg for the money.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
