This is an extremely large tooth of Spinosaurus aegyptiacus from the Cretaceous of Morocco. Spinosaurus was a large, "sail-backed", fish-eating dinosaur that was as long as Tyrannosaurus but not as heavily built. The tooth is heavily striated. The specimen displays very fine enamel. The tooth shows a small amount of natural wear on the tip. A portion of the root of the tooth is preserved. This is a very large, colorful tooth of this unusual carniverous dinosaur.
