LONG Siroccopteryx Pterosaur Tooth from Africa
Stock Number  DSTAN715

Name:    Siroccopteryx moroccensis Tooth
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Tegana Formation
Location:  Taouz, Morocco
Size:  Tooth is 1.65 inches long
Price:  SOLD

This is a very distinct tooth of Siroccopteryx moroccensis from the Cretaceous of Morocco. Siroccopteryx was not a "true" dinosaur, but rather a "flying reptile". This LONG tooth is very detailed and still has some rock encasing it, which is quite interesting. The corrigated enamel is preserved and easily seen, and the tip is mostly intact and shows some wear from use - this large tooth was probably in the mouth for a long time. This is a nice, impressive specimen of a needle-like tooth from an extinct Pterosaur.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
